HB™ Farm Bread $3.90 In an act that is almost magical, flour, water, and salt combine to create bread that is surprisingly full-flavored and enjoyed by kids and adults alike. This bread is a MUST for me for a classic PB&J or a midnight grilled cheese.
Hearty Honey $3.90 This stone-ground whole wheat bread gets its dark color from the honey, which caramelizes as it bakes. Our old world fermentation method allows us to use less honey than other bakeries, while still maintaining the sweet flavor. I love to toast this bread and eat it with eggs on Sunday morning.
Italian Peasant Leaf $4.25 In old Italy, peasant bakers’ sifted flour by shaking the bins it was stored in. The finest flour rose to the top and was used to bake bread for royalty. Mid-grind flour was used to serve nobility. And the coarse grain that was left was often combined and used to bake for the peasant class. Imagine what might have happened if the royals ever found out that the coarse-grind mixture made much better bread! We combine six rolled grains (red and white wheat, rye, oat, barley and sunflower) with our start and roll the unbaked loaf in sesame and poppy seeds. The result is rich, nutty, savory bread that makes an incredible bruschetta.
Sesame Semolina $4.50 Like great pasta, this bread is made with durum semolina flour (which is very high in protein). This bread has a rich and creamy flavor that is delicious on its own or as the base for your favorite sandwich. Toasted sesame seeds blanketing the top are the perfect nutty finish for this loaf.
Bavarian Multigrain $4.50 Stoneground whole wheat flour is augmented with nine coarse-ground grains (red and white wheat, rye, barley, corn, millet, oat, flax and buckwheat), whole sunflower seeds and topped with rolled oats. This is full flavored bread with a nutty, crunchy, hearty flavor that even your kids will enjoy.
1891 Sourdough $4.75 This well-balanced Sourdough bread was started in Ireland and brought to America by the Christianson family who’ve kept it alive for over 100 years — be sure to thank them when you see them! This bread is great on its own (my favorite way is toasted with butter and honey), and it also serves as the base for our Specialty Artisan loaves like Potato Cheddar & Chive, Spinach Feta, and Blue Cheese Walnut. Try them all -- you’ll have a hard time choosing a favorite!
Jill’s Garlic Jack $5.95 This is one bread you’ll just have to try! One of our richest breads, we mix minced garlic, onions and over 1/2 lb. of Monterey jack cheese into each loaf, and then top it all with imported asiago cheese. A great loaf to serve at your next dinner party.
